This was the BEST unplanned adventure we had on our vacation to and from Tobermory! We followed a sign we saw on the road back home to Greig’s Caves and found a lovely adventure the whole family could enjoy together! Absolutely stunning scenery, beautiful cave rock formations and well thought out trails, perfect for our 10 and 14 year old. Bring water, snacks, solid shoes and be prepared for a fantastic hiking adventure that’s just the right amount of time and exercise before dinner. Make sure you check it out-You will not regret it!

This place offers an awesome hiking experience, which was challenging and fun for our family of three. There are approx. 9 caves to explore varying in size, with some offering a tight squeeze to enter and others being wide open for photos. There is also a trail offering views of Georgian Bay. Overall the entire hike took us just over two hours at 2.5km with several stops at every cave. The last cave was our definitely our favourite. It is gorgeous. There are plenty of areas to stop and have lunch along the way. You must wear hiking boots or shoes with proper soles as the terrain is very uneven and rocky. It was also cash only. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was not busy. We have hiked at Niagara Gorge, on both sides of the border. The wooded areas are similar, but the caves are unique. There was plenty of parking and the staff was very friendly.
Absolutely stunning! Amazing place and a must do! The caves are overwhelmingly beautiful like nothing I have seen nor could explain. You must see this in person. You could make a calendar with any picture you take here. The gentlemen and his wife who own it are exceptional helpful and nice. Bring a flashlight with you! Usually flashlights and walking sticks are provided but Covid made it so the owner cannot lens them out now. Take your time going through watch your head and really take in the beauty this place has to offer. AMAZING!! Bring cash only it’s 10 each to get in and we’ll we’ll worth it “no family discounts” but believe me it’s so worth the pictures and fun you will have here. Bring bug spray Bring water Bring good shoes And bring a good Adventures attitude
Incredible find. Down a road to no where, lies this beautiful little hiking trail. Pros. Nice trails Friendly staff Cheap admission Various caves to explore, fun to climb. Cons. Kinda short, but you will get your exercise. If you have knee, back issues, you might want to avoid. Worth the trip, plan to head back next time we are up that way.
This place is an absolute must see. Best caves that I have ever been to. Showed up here when it opened. The owner was a fantastic guy, very nice, very helpful and knew alot about the area. So many beautiful locations for photos here. If your ever in the area I suggest you check it out. The price is extremely reasonable what what you get to see. Can't wait to come back.
